As an artist focusing mainly in digital media, I had been working full-time for a mobile game developing company called Glu Mobile for the past four years as one of the in-house artists in their London studio, making visual concepts, design and illustration in the development team, and occasionally freelanced as illustrator/colourist in my spare time.
Prior to that, I spent a few years studying foundation and computer art courses at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California.
I didn't set out to be an artist though. Growing up in Taiwan, I always enjoyed doodling in textbooks, drawing in art class at school, and playing video games after school, but never really pursuit in these directions, and instead ended up a science major after I left for the UK for further education.
It then came to me when I was doing my degree in Biochemistry at Imperial College, that I would rather be doing something else for my career. After taking Advertising Studies at Beijing broadcasting university (now called Communication University Of China) for half a year, I decided on following one of my biggest childhood dreams. I wanted to make games with my strength in art.
Nowadays I draws for both work and pleasure, and this website showcases artworks made for both purposes. Hope you enjoy them. If you have any feedback, please feel free to drop me some lines in my guestbook or via email.
